We can still be eager to see more art, though, right? xD Even if it'll take awhile.
I considered Elite Sunspear gloves for awhile - they're so pretty. I wish the creamy-colored part was dyable.

@Frost: Yesss, definitely. That's why I never got anything from Elite Sunspear - we were able to dye the wrong part! There are so many armor mixes that I was never able to do, just because of the non-dyable areas. D:

@frost all i can say is that she is going to wear armor from ref pic provided, with a few exceptions, she is going to wear finger parts from elite sunspear gloves (decided to get rid of sleeves, too much distraction) and probably neck thingy from same set.

@Bebe <3

@Drelias /agree, my paragons have elite sunspear, and if it isn't dyed white, it looks like someone took a bucket of dye and spill them with it -_-

@Xandra ;D

Yeah, I tried to have a nice, pale beige on my paragon's armor, and it didn't work out because everything dyed so differently. I wasted a ton of browns and silvers and such trying to make them match, but ultimately just dyed everything black out of frustration.

@Frost: No, you typed it. I always saw them as more of a ... Gah, I don't know what different fabrics are called, but a very firm silk-like material. I'd love to have those finger things with a few other pairs of gloves...

It wouldn't hurt to have some blood in Guild Wars. It would make it more realistic.

nope, it would be Gouge Wars

I wish it had blood in it too. Not spewing out of everywhere, but if youre kickin someones butt with a scythe or daggers...it should be noticeable.

@IH: No, we have magic armor. How else can an elementalist wearing a bra and a mini-skirt survive ANYTHING in that game?
Meh, even a little bit of bloodshed would be better. They don't need to show the wounds or anything, but maybe a smattering on the ground that disappears after a couple minutes like corpses? I grew up on Mortal Kombat and D2. It's weird for me to kill something and not see blood. D:

Well, why were Gladiators so powerful even though they weren't fully covered? :P

[HISTORY LESSON ]
Because it was just as much about showmanship as it was about fighting? The early games had a very high rate of death, and each gladiator was basically under a death sentence (kill your opponent, or die yourself). That certainly gives a nice adrenaline boost that helps to withstand a lot. :P The highest recorded amount of matches entered by a single gladiator was around 150 (note: entered, not won) - most died within their first 5. And a gladiator would not fight every day, some would show up for the arena once a month or even twice a year. This prolonged their usefulness even should they die quickly.
Later on, it became more about the show, and the death sentence was lifted. If you fought well, chances are you were spared even if you lost.

They were kind of like modern-day WWE-wrestlers. After the bumpy beginning where each fighter was expected to die, accidents still happened but it was all about looking good rather than actually getting killed.
[ /HISTORY LESSON

Sorry, couldn't help it. Ancient history. <3
